Durham Womens Indoor Soccer League?

This is a long shot I know but....I signed up for Women's Indoor Soccer for the first time and was wondering if anyone happens to play in this league? My first game is next Sunday and I am more worried about showing up in those stupid soccer shorts with my ugly legs than playing the game!!

Where are you playing - at the DISC in Oshawa? Several of my friends play in that league - to what team to you belong?

We alternate between the DISC and WISC (the new Dome on Rossland). I'm in Div 'D' on a team called 'Perfect Party Place'.

I played last night and it was not a pretty sight. I swear everything I touched turned to %^&$. The team is recreational, but I still want to put forward a good effort. I haven't played since I was a kid, and I definately get pretty winded (some of the reason for joining the team was to get some exercise) but some of the ladies on the team are quite good, and I dont want to be the 'one' on the team who is always messing up. I keep telling myself I need to stop stressing, but it is hard!!!! Oh well, hopefully things will be better next week. I also joined a 'pick up' game on Thursday nights, so hopefully that will also help!

My friend plays in that league and she played last night too - she plays on the team called "The Black Cats".

Have fun, I hear they have a ball out there ...
