Hey all, first time post, long time lurker

My husband owns a PVB contract currently solely. I am looking to purchase my own PVB contract. We have a joint family email which he used for his purchase. We've decided to purchase seperately but plan on combining points for usage. Stupidly, I listed our family email when submitting an offer (which got accepted). Its been sent for ROFR and I am now worried the duplicate email address with differing deed holders will be an issue. Any insight? Can I update email address later in the process if its an issue?
 
I don’t know about the email address but different deed holders will result in different memberships. You can always transfer the points from one to the other and combine them that way.
 
We are OK with different memberships - we did it seperately on purpose knowing we could transfer points. I am just worried about that dang email address 😬
 
Email doesn't matter.

After you close on the contract then DVC will give you the club ID and membership ID to setup your own online account on any email you want (has to be seperate though).

You won't be able to combine points for stays unless you transfer points back and forth though since you will be in two seperate accounts.

Which means if you book sepetately that when dining reservations come up you won't be able to book length of stay but only length of each stay.

You may need to change the email address though to create your DVC account because you won’t see both under his account.

And, the same email address can only have one password throughout the entire Disney system.

So, it won’t matter for buying, but it will for you to have an online account.
 
When I did this with the same email, new member number (new UY), they added it as a drop down to my login.

Because you are a different human with the same email, this might be problematic.

But an offer is not the final documentation. I would make sure the email is corrected in the actual closing documents.
