or rinsing. I always do both. I definitely have never not drained them. I thought it was a can of something else. Any guesses how this will turn out?

My guess is it will be much more salty.

I suggest you don't put as much salt in and adjust later into cooking if you think it still needs more.

I always rinse off the salt. I'm making chili right now and to thicken it I will be using corn starch.

The plus is it is in a very large pot of chili. There are two large cans of beans a can of tomatoes ground chicken, veggies and some water in there. Hopefully that will dilute the effect.

It will be fine. I actually have a chili recipe that calls for undrained beans and it is fine. You might want to cut back on any other liquid you use or just simmer it longer. My coworker actually never drains his beans.

I never drain the beans, I use my mothers recipe that calls for undrained kidney beans. I usually use organic ones and undrained. The chili comes out delicious!

I drain and rinse, but my dad, who made the most fantastic chili, never did. So, I would not sweat it!

I always drain and rinse, something about the goopey bean liquid grosses me out. That said, it will be fine, many people do not drain or rinse.

The rule!

My guess is that your chili will now be fantastic instead of just good. Put me in the group that never drains or rinses.

I never drain or rinse kidney beans if I'm making chili.

I don't drain or rinse any beans or vegetables (diced tomatoes, corn, lima beans, etc.) in cans if I'm making soup. The liquid just adds more flavor.
