I have the 5 day cancellation policy on my reservation but am drawing a blank on something else...

Since I paid my deposit, I don't have to pay the balance until I check in right? It was not through Disney travel (I think)

Also, I had to modify my reservation and change resorts (still an all-star but a different "complex". I never received a new confirmation - should I be checking with them? At first they didn't find my deposit on the first ressie but then said they transferred it - just haven't gotten anything else from them though.

Thanks

For your first question-I would assume you would pay when you get there, but it is hard to tell without looking at the paperwork

As for a new confirmation- I would make sure I had one. How long has it been since you changed resorts?? It can take them a couple weeks to get the confirmation out sometimes, but I would not assume it didn't get messed up. I would not feel comfortable at all unless the paper in my hand said exactly what I wanted.

julfre - I booked my sister a trio through Disney for Nov and her balance is not due until arrival. However we booked for April and our balance is due one month prior to arrival.

Also, I called and changed my room from GV to LV and I received a new confirmation letter.

Call and get your confirmation sent to you. I am agreeing with PoTC_Junkie you need something in your hand. Do not asume that they have everything straithened out!! I have read to many posts about mixed up reservations.

Good Luck. Have a great trip.

Thanks for the replies-

I figured it had been indeed too long for a nre confirmation and I called yesterday (it was a "bad day" yesterday and I just had a feeling....

Guess what - the reason I never got a new confirmation was because they had cancelled my "new" reservation and kept the old one - why I have no idea but there it was. I was sweating because the new one was for 2 additional days and with CBR closed and everything....

The CM was very helpful, reinstated my old "new" reservation (so the days match my plane tickets:rolleyes: ) and made sure my deposit was transfered (again!) and that I have up to 5 days to cancel with balance due at arrival. A confirmation will be sent.

Disaster diverted and I still have my trip:sunny: Whew!!!
