Dumb Question Warning - Combining Contracts

OK, so the one good thing I was able to negotiate in my divorce was keeping a DVC-SSR contract (we had one other timeshare and she kept that one). That contract is still in both mine and my ex-wife's name at Disney. I have the divorce decree but it seemed like a major hassle to get it switched when I called DVC a few years ago, and me and my ex are still on semi-decent terms so never really saw the need.

My kids are getting older to the point where I need a larger unit when I take Disney trips, so I am thinking about buying a resale contract to add some more points. If I add that contract in just my name, will there be any issue combining it with the contract that is still in both mine and my ex-wife's name?

Thanks in advance for any help.

They will be separate memberships so it would require transferring between accounts to use them together. It wouldn't be a lot of work to get the deed redone for the original contract though.

I did change the name on a deed to add my adult kids last year, I used the title company recommended by DVC and while it was not a big deal, it was pricey.

People have had success using LT Transfers to do it for less than $200. There is also a way to do it yourself.

Without taking her name off, any new one will be a new membership.
