Dumb question about basic ticket--no hopping

I am going to purchase the basic ticket with no hopping but does that mean I can still go to the park in the morning leave and come back to the same park at night?

Yes, you can leave one park (say the Magic Kingdom) and go back later in the day (but only to the Magic Kingdom).
