Might be a dumb question but we just added on at AKV, and got our documents to sign. There is a page that says "Short Form Mortgage Agreement" and it pertains to the Notary signing it. Where do you go to get that and get the stamp for it? Thanks in advance.

Most any bank will have a notary as part of their customer service staff. Just call the local branch that you do business with and ask if they have one, and what his/her hours are. That is what we did for our add-ons recently.

BTW, since we did this at the bank we do business with the notary said that it was free to us. I gather that if we had not been customers of the bank their might have been some cost to have it done.

Very quick and painless. Just make sure you have photo id so that they can verify that you are who you say you are.

You can also look under Notary Public in your yellow pages if your bank does not do it. Sometimes smaller drug stores will do have this service as well

The UPS Stores (formerly Mailbox etc) usually have notary services as well.

You could also check with your town/city hall. Ours has a notary who will notarize things for town residents at no charge.

We should be getting our paperwork tomorrow or the day after.
Are there any papers that we need notary for if we aren't financing through Disney?

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Just went and got it done. Thanks again!!!
For others that might read this thread, most companies have a notary and most will allow them to employee's personal needs within reason. My experience is that many banks as well as the others above tend to charge. The charge at the business center at the Paradise Pier Hotel was $10 per signature so we waited since I needed 10 total. Most Credit Unions, some banks, and most employers do not charge from my experience.

Thanks,

Our guide told us that if you are not financing through Disney, there are no documents that require notarization. We haven't received our docs yet, so I can't 100% verify that, but it makes sense.

No, if you aren't financing, there will be no notary necessary.
