My wife is finally moving to the 21st century. :cool1: Moving from a flip phone of many years ago to a new Galaxy S4.

It's easy to transfer the contacts, they do it at the store. But how does she get the photos (not a lot of them, less than 100) moved from one to the other? There is no memory card in her phone. Is there an easier way than sending them one at a time to me?

Thanks much.

Dan

I switched from Blackberry to Galaxy, There is probably a better way but I sent the pics I wanted to save to my email, then opened up in Galaxy and saved them

When I was dragged kicking and screaming into the smartphone arena in January they transferred them for me in the store.

ATT was able to transfer the contacts and photos from a flip phone to an iphone for my friend. (I don't remember the flip phone brand but it was so old that it wasn't 3G compatible!!!!!)

I think I figured out a way. Her phone will take a micro card, of which I have several. She needs to copy (or move) each photo from the phone to the card and then it is easy after that.

Any easier way? She does not want to chance them moving them in the store, though I said there would not be a problem.

Thanks for replies so far.

Well, those old phones did not have nearly as many options as now - Bluetooth, memory cards, Wi Fi, etc.
Does it have a way to connect to your computer? If it does, then you can copy them over to the computer and then load them onto the memory card (with a card reader) and you're done. Otherwise, I guess you'll need to email them to Google. Your s4 will have an app to access Google.

Marie, you are ahead of me!!

I still have that dumb, dumbphone!
