If we have a travel trailer, do we need a "full hook up" site? Is the power available at the cheap sites enough to run our a/c, lights, and tv? Is "full hook up" just about the sewer? Oops, and I just realized, the issue might be water. Gotta have water coming in if you're going to cook in there. I assume the cheap sites don't have a place to run a hose into your camper? What if we ate all our meals out and used the shower house?

Sorry, totally new at this. Don't have an rv yet, thinking about renting or owning a small trailer or pop up! :goodvibes We want to camp when our son is out of school, so of course that's when the prices are so high, they are giving me pause. Thinking I can save a few bucks on the non-full hookup sites.

Heya,

Short answer, you can only use a pop-up camper or tent at the cheap sites (no TT). Note, cheap sites DO have water and electricity though.

There are no dumb questions here.....just confusing answers....

According to the Disney website here are the amenities for the the 3 levels of campsites.

1.
Preferred Campsites include power, water, sewer, cable and Internet access. These secluded lush accomodations are private, back-in sites, and feature a level paved pad, Coquina rock bed, picnic table and charcoal grill, plus all the Disney magic you can handle - just steps outside your front door. Nearby, you will find deluxe, air-conditioned Comfort Stations with restrooms, private showers, ice dispensers, laundry facilities and pay phones. If Fido will be coming with you, be sure to request a pet-friendly campsite (restrictions and charges apply).

Just remember that if you have water coming in you will also have water going out so you will need to have a gray water holding tank or a portable tank to recover the excess water outside as you are not allowed to let it run on the ground.

Disney might require a full-hookup site ...... but most other campgrounds will let you stay on a site with just electric or water & electric (if you want to or if they don't have other sites available) ..... as long as your TT will fit on the site.

i would go with a full hookup site its only a couple bucks more if you have kids it is so convient. if your going to cook doing dishes alone fills up your tank you will be un hooking and driving to a dump station everyother day go with the sewer site trust me!!;)
