Dumb newbie question

We have our first US trip planned and I am starting to making packing lists. This probably sounds silly, but what are the park tickets like? Is it on your phone? Hard ticket? I am so used to magic bands at WDW! I’m used to the bag/purse strategy there, but realized I might need to do something different. And I’m assuming the room key is a regular credit card sized key? Thanks!

Not sure about park tickets because we have APs but yes, your room card is a credit card sized plastic card. Most folks use a lanyard & keep their room key & ticket media in that. Not quite as convenient as the Disney magic bands but it works pretty well !

You might be able to print your tickets. Otherwise, you can do the electronic version on your phone, or get a printed ticket at guest services/ your hotel ticket desk. Printed ticket would be credit card size on "sports or plane ticket" type paper.

I always recommend getting the printed version from guest services or your hotel and home printed tickets as the last resort. We always see people struggling to scan into the park when using the home printed version - to the point where, if we see a family with home printed tickets in a line, we'll choose another line.

Yes, and they have lanyards that are reasonable on Amazon, unless you want to pay for one in the parks/city walk.
