Dumb Music Question about the Boardwalk

Hey all: First time poster here ... One of the things that I've always LOVED about the Boardwalk is that almost everywhere you go, you can hear the wonderful big band music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, et. al. When I told my buddy about it who was recently there strolling the boards, he said all he heard was stuff like BRUNO MARS. Really??? Can someone who's been there recently confirm that you can still hear that great retro music outside, along the main promenade of shops, etc...

It's a small detail, but one that really makes the trip complete for me ... Thanks, in advance.

I was there over thanksgiving last year and remembered the music. It is a small detail that helps make everything better. I find it rather relaxing.

Always heard Big band Music on the Boardwalk , goes with the theme and yes makes the place even better..... Its possible that maybe they did change the music but I doubt it

If he is correct and he was at the Boardwalk, depending on the Bruno song, one of his tunes would fit very well in to the Boardwalk theme too. So it depends on what they were playing as to if it fit or not. We were there in August and again at the first of this month and can't say I noticed anything out of the ordinary about the music being played.

Oh boy I hope not. This past July they were playing the Big Band music as usual. It’s one of those little touches that keeps us coming back year after year to the BW.
