Dumb dining transportation issue

I'm a DL newbie. I'm so used to plotting and strategizing my WDW travel (best way between parks, quickest way to my character meal, etc...) that it is difficult for me to accept the ease of transport (ie. my feet) that will apparently be available to me at DL  . So... I have a question that is probably very dumb, but that has never stopped me from asking a question... so... here it goes:

I am staying at the HoJo and I am planning to dine at Goofy's Kitchen on a "non-park" day. Do I have to walk around DL to get there (meaning, walk all the way around the block, or possibly drive to DLH), or can I walk through the promenade between the parks and through DD to get there without using a day on my park ticket?

Thanks!

Thanks MrsMork! Hey... I have another question that maybe you can answer (I'm full of questions on DL... such a newbie  ). What time do the character breakfasts in the parks stop serving breakfast? I ask this because at WDW we have often done Chef Mickey's as a "brunch" with the latest 11 am or so seating (so technically lunch). Is this possible at DL, or is it really just during "breakfast" time? We don't usually eat such a big breakfast, so I love it when we can eat breakfast foods at lunch.

Thanks! (or maybe I should say nanoo, nanoo?)

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that one. We have only done early character breakfasts. But agree dining will be happy to answer your question.

Well, we got the last seating for the GCH character b'fast, and that was at 11:30am. HOWEVER we missed out on most characters, b/c they are gone by then (for instance, Chip and Dale are done at 10:30). Disney Dining didn't know that, nor did they know that GCH stops serving off the menu at 11:30, so I could only get the buffet.

At DLH's character meal there is no menu, just buffet, so that doesn't matter, and I don't know if they have characters with schedules that cause them to leave early, but it's worth knowing that it CAN happen, and Disney Dining won't know. (best to call the restaurant for that sort of info, but how you would do that I do not know!)

Hmmm.... maybe I will just keep it simple with my dining plans (ie. only do "breakfasts" @ breakfast) and not try to attempt any dining "tricks" . :thumbsup2 Thanks for the heads up!

Ayep. Of course you could just go at 10:30...that's a nice in between time.

I keep wanting to make a clever Ayn Rand comment about your user name, but I can't figure out what would be clever. So there's a comment, even though it's a lame one. :)

If I understand your question correctly then yes you could go to Goofys at the end of the breakfast hours/beginning of lunch hours and be able to technically do brunch. They don't put out new breakfast stuff but if you time it right you get the best of both worlds!

Thanks for all the info guys! Don't worry bumbershoot, I'm so tired right now that even if you did come up with a clever comment for my avatar name I probably wouldn't even recognize it.:)
