So, at DLR, the changing tables in the bathroom - will I have to change my son's diaper from the side? Or will I be able to change him feet first? (Hope that makes sense.)

I have carpal tunnel and changing him sideways can be tricky for me.

All the tables in the regular restrooms I have ever been in were from the front. They were built into the wall. But at the baby care centers you can change from the feet end. There is one baby center in DL and one in CA. Not a dumb question - I don't have carpal tunnel but hate changing from the side when in public restrooms with no choice :).

I'm fairly certain they are from the side. Maybe you could kind of put him on an angle but I don't think you'd ever get to his feet.

Not sure what the changing situation is like in the baby care centre is though, they may have a different set up.

It's been a while since I've gone with a baby in diapers, but I think most of the change tables are crammed into the corners by the sinks, so there isn't a lot of room around them to stand at the foot end. The baby care center has nice, soft, cushy beds that are higher up and you can stand at the end. They're not the kind that fold down.

Ugh, that sucks. My husband said he can just do all the diapers. Fine by me! :)

I always bring a reusable changing pad that I wash. But disposable ones would probably be best for travel. Thanks for mentioned it.

Public restrooms always seem to have a thing where paper liners are supposed to be, but they are always empty.

Wow, I should have thought YEARS ago to claim "carpal tunnel syndrome" and made my wife change all the diapers! :D

Definitely hit up the baby center. I found them when my youngest was 2. Wish I would have known about them sooner!

I saw some pictures of the baby care centers and they do look nice. So if we're nearby we'll definitely hit those up. Not sure I'll go all the way through the park to go to one if my kid has a stinky diaper though. Ha!

I bought some of the disposable changing pads in the link above. They are 24 inches by 17 inches. I'm wondering if I should have purchased larger ones though.
