Actually, I would say it's better then a BigMac and fries.
For the recipe that was posted, I put down that it made 16 servings and here are the nutrional values.
355 calories
18 grams of fat
15 carbs
Here is the nutrional breakdown on some fast food
Big Mac
540 calories
29 grams of fat
45 carbs
cheeseburger
300 calories
12 grams of fat
33 carbs
small fry
250 calories
13 grams of fat
30 carbs
Now, the tater tot breakdown may be a bit off. I used an online thing and pulled info from a couple of sources. But I think it's pretty accurate (at least I hope it is).
So, it's not that bad. Have some veggies or a salad with it and it is a heck of alot better then what alot of people eat for dinner at night.
I think that the numbers are a bit deceiving. That 16 servings are not 16 equal servings, they are 16 servings for the Duggars, meaning everything from a couple of spoonfuls for the youngest up to a much larger portion for the oldest. My guess is that if you took the mass of the cheeseburger and fries and compared it to an equal mass of the Tator Tot casserole, the nutritional content is about the same--maybe lower sodium with the casserole.
