Duffy Disney bear, wwyd?

OMG! I have those pink and yellow ones from a few years back. I can't believe something I paid $8 for is now worth over $300. That's just insane.

I call him Mickey's teddy, and he's the perfect size for my big mickey. I also don't like the new design of Duffy. Something about his nose is more pointy, and just not right.

I don't get it..... the boy Duffy looks just like the regular Duffy bear sold at all parks....I've never seen the girl version before,that's a new one! I got a Duffy at DL, and it is the same as the boy Tokyo bear, cost 30.00- so another 6.00 isn't a big deal.....why worry about something like this? if your kids like it when they get there,get one!
(I'd assume the Duffy sold on disneyparkshopping.com is the same as the one I got in the park itself.... )

I think the Duffy is an import from Japan that should have stayed there.Disney has so many great characters that they do not showcase often enough, IMHO, and adding a stuffed bear character is just not my idea of fun.

Funny you should say that. The Disney Bear was actually a state-side Disney merchandise first. So technically, Japan imported. He never really caught on, so they sent the excess dolls to Japan, where he went like hotcakes. So then they decided to relaunch him stateside, which seems to be working.
