Duffy coming to Disney stores Uk.?

Happend to be in London yesturday so went into the Oxford Street Disney Store and well you know, these things just kinda happen.

A Duffy just needs to come home with you.

Went to the Oxford Street Disney Store and saw all the Duffy bears! :) Also saw the Mickey with tiny Duffy bear (in sailor outfit!), which is quite cute, but think I like Duffy better (more cuddly!)...

feel free to bug any of us. However if you don't make it before March 17th we will not be there to help you because Disney are closing our store  I guess a lot more people thought that we weren't worth bothering with too. We are all devastated :sad1:
ETA, We got our Duffy in this week and we have all fallen in love with the sailor costume :)

I have just read this on the news and I am gutted, as I love going into the store, why can't they just relocate it, as the nearest 4 now to Hull is either Sheffield, Doncaster, Leeds or York. It is the only reason I go into Hull City Centre.

Can't we start a petition lol:sad::sad::sad::sad:

It's a shame that there are not many Disney Stores left now in the UK. I can remember a time when there was one in every large town and city.

I wonder if the pop-up store in Harrods is the way of the future with a Disney themed franchise opening up in other department stores like John Lewis or Debenhams.

It is really sad that we are closing because we are such a close knit team. :( we started a Facebook page and we have almost 900 likes but sadly it won't make any difference. I will miss it so much :(

I know know, Harrods didnt really sell any disney store exclusive items but you never know they might in the future...

I read I am sure it was on here that they are gettin rid off all in mall Disney stores as they will all become high street Disney imagination stores. Less of them but a lot bigger and better stock :)

I also heart about opening Disney store @ Trafford Asda, apparently on the top floor? I guess all Disney stores that had been refurbish recently into new style are safe&but I dont really like Asda so for me its not a good idea but we will see& Disney store its special but Asda is just asda&.

Obviously I am a little biased but I can't understand why they are closing stores and sending product to asda! Anyway. Sorry to hijack :)
Tinks that is interesting! Where did you hear/see that?

Wendy - sorry to hear about your store/ job :sad1:. Our (more) local DS closed down some years ago now.

I can see why they are moving away from Disney Stores (if they are). Basically it comes down to overheads - having a unit within a larger retail store is cheaper. That's it really :confused3. Not sure it's a good idea but I can see the reasoning behind it. Harrods and then Asda are certainly poles apart aren't they :lmao:.

I was in our nearest DS today, OK it was midweek, but the mall itself was heaving (as were many shops), but not the DS - lots of things were on sale too which surprised me. You would think they wouldn't need to slash prices just before Christmas, but I wonder if it's a sign of things to come for DS?

I have noticed a devaluation of the Disney brand over the last few years with merchandise being sold all over the place - Asda/Sainsburys down to B&M & Poundland. I think you have always been able to get items in these shops, but not in such prolific numbers :rolleyes2. Not saying they are the same quality though, as often they are not.

Just to get back OT - we saw Duffy today and a few outfits. Mum bought DD2's Duffy the pilot jacket outfit for Christmas. Have to say, the CM on the till was lovely - probably the most enthusiastic I have seen in a while in there. She was asking if we had Duffy at home and did we know the story behind him etc. It might have been to try and push the merchandise (there certainly didn't seem a rush on to buy it!), but I think she was just being nice really :-)

Thanks netimka, great deal, just ordered two and of course a couple of other things too. Well, I didn't want to pay postage naturally! :rotfl:

I found a code as well, WOODLAND15 which gives 15% discount. It doesn't work for the Duffy/sailor costume promotion but works on other items.

Thanks for posting. :goodvibes

Is this offer available in store as well or just online?

Also, does anyone know if you get shareholders discount online or just in store? :confused3

Not sure if the offer is instore as well, although I would have thought so, but I do know that the shareholder's discount does not apply online - sadly. :sad2:

I'm not closed to the store either but in the past they always had the same offers online and instore so I guess it should be the same...

happy shopping...

Thanks :) Our nearest store is an hour away so not sure if I'll make it there but it would nice to finally use my shareholders card! :rotfl:
