DUES Info! - All resorts dues have been released

I don’t have the patience to read this, maybe someone else does. It’s the union contract that is public information. It covers the terms and conditions of the employment that we pay for in our dues, so it could be considered relevant. You can find all details and job classifications here: uniteherelocal737.org/contracts/
Just so everyone is aware, DVCMC contracts with WDW to provide property management of the resorts. As owners, that is not something that we have a say in.

However, owners can request from DVC that a copy of that property management agreement be sent to them. It is one of the documents listed in the contract as being available by request.

I know that the initial contracts are for 3 years, and I believe that each subsequent one is also for a 3 year term.

ETA: I do not know if it varies by resort or if its the same contract to manage all the properties....the copy I have somewhere was sent to me maybe 4 to 5 years ago...it is a hard copy so not something I can upload to share!

I couldn’t imagine that we (as DVC) could match what WDW gets in terms of volume discounts etc. I’m sure it works to our benefit to let them handle all of that.

DVCMC is not set up to be a property manager to run resorts.

DVCMC is an LLC created to mangage the implementation of the timeshare. They are simply who we, as owners, via the board of directors of our associations, appointed to manage the program, and gave them the right to hire the property manager, and they hired WDW Parks & Resorts.

We also give them the right to do a lot of other things on our behalf.

I fully understand I’m taking the time to post on a Disney board, but the amount of time people have to be upset never ceases to amaze me.

Well…we know for sure that dues, taxes, and Disneyland and WDW prices will always go up. Some years by more than others. So, expect your dues to go up. Hopefully we’ll get some slow years too.

So far my VDH sequence of return risk (not really this exactly but it’s the same idea, in dues form) is feeling a bit risky with this year and last, but…YOLO. (Also dues are what keep me from wanting to max out my points too much; they are a long term risk!)

Dude you also are here clearly triggered that others are upset. At least we contribute to the board in some way rather than just spending time reading others posts and linger in the background.

Not triggered at all. Think you might want to look in the mirror on that one.

I consistently post so not sure where that misconception came from 🧐
