First of all, using an employee discount for someone else is a fire-able offense. I wouldn't ask a friend to do that for me. Second, the employee discount stopped working on gift cards this past March at the same time as the Pharmacy Rewards coupon, so it's a moot point anyway.
As for them "allowing" the 5% Red Card discount; that isn't really something they "allow." It's automatic when you swipe your card. There isn't any employee intervention there. Did it not work when you swiped your card, or did they just tell you it wouldn't work?
Well it's not fireable if THEY buy the cards for me !Call it a gift ! I give my buddy a check after. (loophole?) No offenses created !!
My previous post , which you did not read apparently, stated that the Redcard , on a previous attempt to buy , would NOT apply the discount . So todays actions were a surprise since the two Targets in question are about 2 miles apart. One "allowed" the discount(automatically) and one did not .
