Had to complain at Guest services about this today, we rode Fire in about 15 mins, then went round for Ice. Decided the back row, as the queue was probably the shortest, that was until the TM decided to use the 2 back rows for Child Swap, which was ok , but then decided to use it everyother ride, till people started to complain. took us about 45 mins, and there was only about 20 people in front of us.
people doing the baby swap, where all riding again, one time 7 people rerode on Ice, and it was usually 4 reriding from 1 family everytime.
Went to Guest services to complain and they said it should only be 1 riding on child swap. we said you dont mind 2 riding but whole familes where being allowed on.
Morale is do not queue in the back rows.

We just got back yesterday and I have always said the way they do the lines for Dueling Dragons is the worst of any ride at any park I have ever been to. We have always had issues.

This time we were using the baby swap and it is the worst one in the parks. On the fire side it is a narrow hallway with no air circulation. It is so small that you can hardly walk past someone sitting on the bench. The ice side is better - use that one if you don't care about which side you ride.

When we rerode it was one adult and 2 kids - the same standard that Disney uses, but I did see whole families reriding - I agree that is taking advantage. There were sometimes 2 or more adults reriding along with kids - that's obviously not immediate family.

That said, I waited a long time to reride on the fire side. At least half a dozen attendents looked right at me then walked past without acknowledging me. Finally someone did and I waited several more rides before we rode in row 2. If it weren't such a great ride, I'd skip it altogether. We hope when it is rethemed that they somehow fix the line problems.

Yea that's one of the reasons I hated working at that ride, Child Swap was such a pain. Usually if I encountered a child swap, id ask how many were riding, if there was 2, i would walk down the rows and find a party of 2 at the gates, then tell them 2 more would be joing them from childswap. usually helps out, because the line still moves slightly.

if its a big group like vip tours, they usually get the front row, so thats a big one, having to tell the front row people to hold off on one more.

if its like continious parties of 4, ill hold off on the 8th row... next train hold off on the 7th... next train hold off on the 6th... believe me, when child swap is there, its a pain to us attendants as well.... we just like to get them on the train and get them out of there.

I don't know of any ride at the park that only allows one person to re-ride with child swap. As far as I've seen, they all allow everyone to re-ride as long as one person stays behind with the child.

The problem was with the team member loading the child swap. He/she should have done what TimmyBoy said he did and just choose rows on different cars. You should not have been made to wait for several rides just because of child swap.

I did just now went to check the information on child swap. The website says this: "If your kids are too small or unwilling to go on a particular ride you want to experience, you can take advantage of our “child swap” program. Each ride and attraction has a child swap area where one member of your party can wait with the little ones while the rest of your party rides. Then as soon as they get off the ride, they can swap places and stay with the kids while the adults who sat out get their opportunity to enjoy the ride."

So it looks like that may be the rule. I've just never seen it enforced. But even when they allow others to ride, it should not have been in just one row.

I'm glad you went to Guest Services. Your complaint was legitimate and something they need to look into.

Agree if it had of been applied like Timmy Boy saidto different rows , would most certainly have helped.
But the Girl at Guest services thanked us, and she said the person who sat out should only get to ride, although i would not have a problem if someone rode with them.
