Yep. "They're real and they're Spectacular!" (anyone remember that quote?)

Damn I missed it by a week. Guess I will just have to make another trip down to use the Beall's Coupon so I can get my 2 year for the price of one.

Cool!!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the update! We didn't ride it when we were there before, but we are seriously thinking about riding it next week. Our last day there will be June 6 and we had heard it was opening on June 5. It's great to hear that it will be running for our entire trip!

Thanks again!

Even though we don't go till October, I'm glad to hear it's up and running again. Does it look good? Presumably, it's had a coat of paint etc :confused3

WhooHOOOOOOO

We are heading there this morning specifically to ride DD.

The quote is from Seinfeld is actually Teri Hatcher's line, as she played the woman with the spectacular ****ies.

Teri Hatcher said it in the original episode, and it was repeated by the lawyer Jackie Chiles in the finale.

Yes!! June 1-4..

This'll make up for High In The Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride not being open yet in the thrill department.

"You have one a free Cruise"

Now if I had only spelled won correctly. Just shows how I must learn to check for errors before posting.

Hubby and I were able to ride Fire dragon today at IOA. What a great ride! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the zero-g portion after the first drop.

We left the park around 3:30 pm and Ice dragon didn't seem to be running yet. So we have to save that for our next trip.

On a related note, I can't believe how long the queue area is for this ride! It's gotta be nearly a mile from the ride entrance to the loading area even without switchbacks! Thank goodness for the re-ride doorway. We were able to get three rides in about 45 minutes. I LOVED the castle though. I almost wish we hadn't been rushing through the queue so that we could take our time and look at everything.

the 'heartline roll' is a B&M trademark, nice zero-G effect. rumor has it if the entire DD queue was ever fully used, it would support a 4 1/2 hour standby time. too bad Universal doesn't have any theming, though. ;)

LOL, yeah Universal has *no* theming whatsoever. :lmao:  I've been to Six Flags parks that are better. :lmao:

You're really funny ....

As for the heartline roll, is that really what that zero-g part of the the ride is called? Because the element I'm talking about doesn't involve a roll that I can remember, just an up and down that gives you oh-so-much airtime and floaty feeling.

I've been on quite a few B&Ms and I don't remember that element on any of the others, but then they all run together after a few years (and a few different rides). I think my favorite B&M is Apollo's Chariot, but I also love Great Bear at Hersheypark. Been a long time since I've ridden either of those! We were bummed that we didn't get to ride the Ice dragon today to compare the two dragons and watch them in action together. Oh well. Another time!

Just got back from a 5 nights at the HRH ,Thursday was our last day at the parks, we ate lunch at the enchanted oak at 11:00, done by 11:30 walk out side and saw a 5 min. wait on dd , rode front row on both fire and ice
3 times. what a great surprise that they were able to get done early.
really made our day!

Yay! we saw it was open Thursday and Friday, but only Fire was running. Just happy we got to ride it before we left on Friday.
