Dudley Do-Rights Rip Saw Falls

Hi all

We are visiting UO later this month and I am trying to gauge whether I am going to be able to cope with this ride?!

Our last couple of visits have been in December and I've used the cooler weather as an excuse to avoid the water rides!. But as it will be hot this time, I'm determined to be braver if I can.

I love Blutos Barges and will 'suffer' Jurassic park, but I really hate big drops. I don't like the JP one but I guess I cope with it as you can't see it from the outside. But Rip Saw looks awfully big and high and so far I've chickened out of trying it!!

How does it compare to the drop on JP or Splash mountain? (another one I don't particularly enjoy but I will do)

I think JP is 85 feet and Dudley is 75 feet.......but the Dudley drop is steeper.

I think Dudley is much faster, well, feels faster and you get the double dip bit at the end........it's a huge amount of fun.......but then I love drops

It is much faster and steeper than Splash! I'm not sure but I think Splash is about 50 something feet high. But that's a guess.......memory is not brilliant today.

You will get soaked......drenched......whereas on JP it varies from being gently sprinkled to being soaked too. Every ride on that is different due to weight distribution on the vehicle.

Try it.......it's a fantastic ride.....well the drop is for sure

I agree that Ripsaw feels more intense. Perhaps it is because you are in a smaller vehicle. That double dip is great fun....unless you don't like that sort of thing.

The big drop is at the end so if you don't like it at least it is over and you can say you rode it. It has won numerous awards.

Ooh I don't know now! Have a feeling I might well end up chickening out again!!

I was really hoping that I was going to hear how tame it was and that spłash mountain is so much worse! Hehe!

Like you I don't like steep drops so I've never tried this ride. I shoot one of the water cannons at the riders instead.

I guarantee you will not die on this ride. You'll be scared, but will live to tell about it.

It's a kiddy ride. Very small drop. Just go for it.

you WILL get soaked and you WILL have fun!
The final drop feels intense, but the second it's over you'll be laughing.

My kids (now 7 and 9 yrs old) both get nervous about the steep drops but rode this ride several times last year. They know its over fast and I tell them "close your eyes and get stiff like board and its over in 2 seconds". They do this and always end up happy and asking to get right back into line to do it again. It IS a perfect cool off on a hot FL day!

Personally, I find the JP drop to be scarier than the Rip Saw. Maybe because it's faster is seems over quicker.

Our favorite part is manning the water sprayers on the bridge.

My youngest daughter, who is VERY wimpy when it comes to rides, LOOOVED this ride! She was really nervous because she rode JP twice and it terrified her both time and she rode the water ride at Sea World and thought it was a little scary too.. But after DDRF, she said it wasn't scary at all and she loved it! I didn't think it was that bad!
