I'm looiking for recomendations for eating at DTD. I'm thinking about going the night we get in to walk around and eat. It will be DS (almost 3) DH and myself. I ate at Wolfgangs many years ago but I don't know much about anything else. We are on the DP and was thinking maybe just Earls for something quick and easy...thanks

Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace is still our favorite at DTD!

When we go in September, we are planning on eating at Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich. We will be on the dining plan and hear those places are great. Also, since they are the nicer end of Counter Service meals, we can then save our TS meals for things like CRT.

Hope that helps. This will be our first time to Disney since 2000 and our first time trying those places - but that is our plan as of now.

I would highly recommend Earl of Sandwich.

We love both WPE and Earl of Sandwich! If you are looking for a slightly more relaxing meal, do WPE....even though you order at a counter, they bring it to the table for you, and then come by and check on you as well throughout the meal....so it's kind of a combo of QS and TS.

If you are on the dining plan you have narrowed options - the only TS that accept it are Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road, Cap'n Jack's and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. If you want CS you can try Earl of Sandwich, Cookes of Dublin or Wolfgang Puck Express (WPE has a lot of the most expensive counter service food on property so if you are looking to maximize the value of your dining plan it is a good choice). Food Quest at Disney Quest also takes it - but you must have admission to Disney Quest for that, and since Cheesecake Factory moved out of there it supposedly isn't worth visiting just for food.

I love House of Blues, it's my favorite restaurant in DTD.

I second House of Blues, our food was amazing. I tried to get a reservation there (the day of) and they said there we not any but we still got in with only a 20 min wait. I am not sure I am going to enjoy calamari anywhere else after trying their's.

I agree, great food and beer! I had the Salmon it was wonderful. We did eat there at lunch and young children were dining. I don't know what it's like at dinner.
