DTD wow what a rate at new Holiday Inn

"Elegant rooms will feature modern Florida décor, granite top vanity bathrooms, walk-in showers in king rooms, a work area and either one king with sleeper sofa or two queen beds. Deluxe amenities include high-speed Internet, upgraded bath amenities, balconies in some rooms, room service, and LCD Wide Screen HDTV televisions."

This might be a silly question, but can you get the dinning plan while staying here?

No you can't, it's not a Disney resort. It is considered offsite but it is a great location!!

You cannot get the dining plan while staying here, nor is their Disney Transportation. They do have their own transportation, but the times etc., are different, so if you are used to Disney Transport just realize that ahead of time.

Thanks! I just booked this hotel for our post cruise stay in Orlando.. we are planning on doing Disney and staying at the Poly (I hope) for 2 nights prior to the cruise - this rate is so cheap it makes staying at the poly that much more doable...

Does anyone know just where on Hotel Plaza Blvd. it is? I'm thinking it's across from the Regal Sun, maybe beside the Hilton, but not too sure.

Why is it considered to be an offsite hotel, because technically it's located on WDW property and within walking distance to Downtown Disney. I mean no one considers the Swan & Dolphin to be offsite and they are not owned by Walt Disney World.

It's located in the middle among the other hotels and it's on the same side as the Hilton.

I guess it depends on your definition of offsite....to me it means there are none of the onsite privileges such as dining, transportation, dme. Swan and Dolphin are somewhere in the middle....onsite geographically, some onsite benefits such as bus service and emh but not dining and dme.

Those are some good points and now I get why you consider it an offsite hotel.

That is an amazing rate. For the poster who is going before the rate is in affect, could you do 2 reservations there, one for the dates before the discount, and the other res. for the rest of your dates? Ask them to link the res. so you don't have to move rooms.

DTD hotels are considered off site. They have their own shuttle to the parks every 30 min. The only DTD hotel that gives you some of the benefits is The Hilton, you have EMH priv. with them.

There is no availability for the earlier days, apparently. wierd eh?

oh well I guess we will just have to stay on site. LOL

They've changed over to this Holiday Inn brand so will not reopen as the Holiday Inn until mid November. We're lucky b/c we're going in December so will do 3 nights there and 4 nights on site for really good prices!
