We would like to eat dinner at DTD on Sunday April 23. We will me my mother, DH, myself, DD4, DS 18mo. Price isn't a big deal. Would like to eat a good meal, but don't want to wait forever to eat. lol. I mean I dont' want to get on a waiting list forever. We can go early or make reservations for later. I can plan the kids meals that way, but I don't want to just walk up and not know how long it will be. What would you suggest? We've never done DTD, too busy in parks, but we are going to go since we'll be at BB during the day.
Also, do we need any admission to eat at the Pleasure Island Restaurants?

not sure exactly what you are looking for in food, atmosphere etc. but we were just in WDW in Feb. We were out and about one day at DTD and walked through Pleasure Island....anyway, we had an early dinner at Raglan Road. We had originally planned on asking if we could get later seating for dinner but the attendant at the front said if we wanted to eat right now they could seat us now - otherwise it would be about 7 - I guess it was just about 4-4:30 at the time.

RR is an Irish pub style restaurant. Beautiful decor too all from Ireland I believe. I have to say that this was the BEST meal we had all week while at WDW. DH and I had the fish and chips - OUT OF THIS WORLD fantastic. DF had shepards pie and loved it. We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. KIDs enjoyed it too but for the life of me I can't remember what they had to eat....I do recall they liked it though.

Anyway, just food for thought. (no pun intended)

I've found the Wolfgang Puck Express (not the main Puck restaurant) to be nice, easy, no long waits, something on the menu to please everyone...in April, the evening weather will be nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the sights and people watch, as well. It's where we generally eat when we don't want to deal with an ADR and we're not sure what time we'll be getting to DTD -- or how tired we'll be, lol. IMO, it's just an easy restaurant over in the Marketplace mixed in with cool shops with pretty good food. If I recall, I had a pasta with lots of different meats in the sauce, and DH had a roasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. We were impressed with the quality of the food, the quick service (you sort of go up and order it, move along in a line and pick it up on a tray when you pay...but the food has a "Wolfgang Puck gourmet flair" to it.)

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question about PI.

Planet Hollywood was Great :cool1: when we went in July of last year, just make reservations if you dont want to wait. we didnt have ressies last year and we had to wait an hour for seating :guilty: , But it was well woth the wait! :thumbsup2 as for your question on P.I im not real sure :confused3 but i think before you enter P.I you have to pay and add mission, your best bet would be to call Disney Dinning and ask then if they tell you you need to pay to enter you could make your ressies for Planet Hollywood. :smooth:
Good Luck!

We've been to Raglan Road, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express, Cap'n Jack's Restaurant, McDonald's, and the Earl of Sandwich. (We didn't try Rainforest Cafe... we've been to the one at Animal Kingdom and the one near home).

DD18 #1 pick is Wolfgang Puck Express (she loves the chicken and mashed potatoes)

For me, it is a tie between Wolfgang Puck Express and the Earl of Sandwich... just depends on my mood.

The food at the the other places didn't seem to be that much better (though it costs a lot more) and we don't have to worry about ADRs.

We really enjoyed Planet Hollywood. The food was really good and the menu has such a variety that there is something there to please everyone. They do take ADRs.

Planet Hollywood or House of Blues. Great food and atmosphere at either one. Make sure you get ADR's

We'll be dining at Wolfgang Puck Cafe that same evening! We have always enjoyed the food there, plus there is a bit of everything on the menu. Wherever you end up going I hope you'll enjoy it. :wave2:
