This is what I'm assuming... DTD is free to go to and walk around and go to the shops and restaurants. You have to pay to enter Pleasure Island and DQ. Is that correct?

You can walk around Pleasure Island and its shops and restaurants until at least 7pm, maybe later, without paying. You can't enter the clubs, but there are some cute stores.

There are a few pay "rides" at the Marketplace section of DTD. There is a carousel & a little train ride. Besides those, you can just walk around, enjoy the street performers that may be there, stores, restaurants, etc.

Correct, except that PI is no longer charging admission to enter, you must pay only to enter the clubs. The admission varies by club and entertainment, but you can also purchase an all inclusive PI pass or use a plus if you have one to gain access to the clubs. The exception here would be House of Blues if they have a "hard ticket" concert. Obviously La Nouba and the movie theater charge admission and they have a few kiddie rides that require tickets.

But for the most part you can enjoy all of DTD and PI, the restaurants and shops without charge.

Fantastic! My 3yo will love those!

DTD is actually three different, distinct sections: The Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and West Side.

Pleasure Island itself opens at 7:00pm along with all of the stores. The clubs themselves open at 7 (adv. club), 8 (8trx, rock & roll ) and 9 (motion, bet, mannequins) with the first Comedy warehouse show at 8:20.

You can walk around Pleasure Island and shop for free all night. You can also enter the Adventures Club up until 9:00 for free. After 9 you need a ticket.

Pleasure Island has 3 basic tickets:

One Club Ticket - $10.60 inc. tax, and is only good for the DANCE CLUBS ( BET, 8Trax, Rock & Roll, Motion, Mannequins ). It does NOT include Comedy or Adventures.

Multi-Club Ticket - $22.32 - Includes all of the clubs, for the whole night.

5 night for $5 - For $5 more than a one night ticket, or $27.32, you can go to all the clubs for 5 consecutive nights.

Premium Ann. Passes also include PI club entry.

Any concerts that may be going on at House of Blues on the Westside would require a separate admission as does the gospel breakfast they hold there on Sundays.

Has anyone ever gone to the recording studio here? And can you tell me if it is open during the daytime hours? TIA :)

The one next to 8Trax inside Pleasure Island???

It's only open when PI is open, but I am not sure of it's exact hours. You can't even get to it during the day though.

Thank you! I don't think we're going to PI this next trip and I was afraid of that! :sad1: I had a blast last time though.
