DTD Trex v Planet Hlwyd

We really enjoyed DTD on our last trip. We ate at Rainforest - atmosphere was great and food was just ok. We are going back late December this year and were debating between these two. We have two children ages 6 and 12. Any advice or suggestions on which one. Thanks for any help.

If your kids liked Rainforest, and your choices are between PH and TRex, I'd say go with TRex. Our kids L-O-V-E the one in Kansas City (8 and 10 year old boys).
I went in with very low expectations of the food and was pleasantly surprised.


The last time I was at Planet Hollywood the food/service was pretty terrible, so I'm probably not very objective about it!

I find planet hollywood unappealing atmosphere wise. For kids that age, I think TRex would be way more fun. My DS13 still loves the place! The food has always been pretty good for us. No complaints.

I would not recommend Planet Hollywood for the food at all unless you get something that's difficult to screw up like a burger. The various items inside are cool to see but the food is not very good.

Definitely pick T Rex. Planet Hollywood is the most disgusting restaurant in all of WDW. The food is awful and the service is terrible.

Another vote for T-Rex. The atmosphere was great. I was very surprised with the food. I had a fish special and it was one of my favorite Disney meals to date.

TRex FOR SURE. If you didn't LOVE Rainforest's food, you probably won't LOVE TRex's food. But IMHO Planet Hollywood's is definitely not better (and probably worse), and the atmosphere at PH simply can't compare - especially with your kids' ages.
