DTD to water parks?

Planning to stay osite for the first time. There is a free shuttle form the hotel to WDW but unsure whether this just goes to the main parks or not.

If so we can get a Lynx bus to DTD - but I remember that DTD buses go to hotels and not parks - what would be the best way to get to Typhoon Lagoon or possibly Blizzard beach. Do any of the resort buses from DTD share with the waterparks or will we have to go to teh nearest resort first and change (thinking SSR for TL or CSR for BB)

Around 12:01 PM or maybe a little earlier, most buses leaving Downtown Disney stop at Typhoon Lagoon and then head for the resorts.

From DTD to Blizzard Beach the best bet is to take the first bus that comes and is headed for a resort somewhat along the way (Grand Floridian, Polynesian are not) and then transfer to Blizzard Beach bus (also goes to one of the parks).

Offsite hotel shuttles usually go to the Magic Kingdom parking lot (Ticket & Transportation Center). From there you need to take the monorail or ferry to MK, then take a bus to a resort. Then transfer to a TL/DTD bus or a BB/park bus. Not sure if any of the MK to resort bus trips stop at BB en route. Some hotels have shuttles going to Downtown Disney, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and/or Animal Kingdom. Then you take a bus to a resort etc.

In all cases the bus destination sign shows all of the destinations, if more than one.

Thanks very much. I suspected TL might be the easiest to get to (which is good as its DD's favorite - she likes to do the Sharf Reef) Not used to staying offsite.

I don't think MK buses go to Blizzard Beach, but I think AK ones do....

You could also walk to the Poly from TTC and catch a bus. Might be quicker.

Buses leaving DTD for the resorts start stopping at TL around 11 a.m. Before then, there is usually a cm stationed at the Marketplace to assist guests in getting to their resorts. If you tell that cm you want to go to TL, they will either direct you to a bus that will stop at TL on the way back from a resort, or get a bus to drop you at TL.

Not all off-site hotel shuttles go TTC; about half go to TTC, and half to Epcot. If you ride your hotel shuttle to TTC, you can walk to Poly and get a bus to either TL or BB. From Epcot, you can get a bus to BB, but not to TL. To get to TL from Epcot, you need to take a bus to a resort & change buses; OKW or POFQ would be reasonable choices.

No, this is quite unnecessary. Either walk or take the resort monorail one stop to Poly, and get the bus to either water park there.
