DTD To closest Walmart-Taxi and bus info please

Looking to pick up a few things at Walmart,
From my research

Kissimmee Walmart Supercenter Store #5420

3250 Vineland Rd
appears to be the closest Walmart to Downtown Disney?

I am getting a fare estimator (Mears Taxi) of
$14.00 each way?

Can anyone confirm that I have this information correct?





Also interested in taking a bus if this is possible from DTD?
Any info on this would be great. Would like to catch it in DTD.

Taxi fares are estimates and don't generally include heavy traffic, long lights, etc. It would be cheaper to arrange for We Go Shop (Wegoshop.com) to shop for you and deliver to your resort. Service charge is $17, so you save $11 over the estimate and likely more.

It's approx 4.2 miles from the DTD Marketplace taxi stand to the Super Walmart so the $14.00 fare seems reasonable give or take a buck or 2 depending on how many lights you hit.
I believe the Lynx bus that goes near that Super Walmart is the #56 bus which leaves from TTC, so you would have to take the Lynx #50 bus from DTD to the TTC and then transfer to the #56 bus. Estimated trip would be approx 90 minutes.
Your better off sticking with the taxi and you could be there and back before the bus would get you there.

There is a Winn Dixie Grocery store closer than the Walmart, probably half the distance, if you're not hung up on only using Walmart.

Cabs are readily available outside all resorts or bell services will hail one for you...

I'm not one to use delivery services but we have a car service pick us up and they grant a 30 minute grocery stop.... Real money saver.... I know we could never approach the minimum since most if ours is alcohol, which doesn't count in total so a delivery service is not beneficial for us.... Your idea sound good....

There is a newer Walmart on Turkey Lake Rd that is close to DTD. Don't know what the fare would be. If you are planing to go to the one on Vineland and its a weekend day expect long traffic delays on 535. It is a traffic nightmare at 535 and I4 area-lots of people trying to get to DTD and the outlet malls. I have waited 25 minutes on a weekend day to get through that area.

If you mean Taxi stands at DTD, at the WestSide there is one between Cirque and DisneyQuest, one outside the main entrance to Pleasure Island/ Planet Hollywood and at the Marketplace between World of Disney and the Basin store.
If there is not one there at that moment there will be one along shortly.

I used wegoshop- great service, but fee is based on your bill - my fee was $30 plus tip. My sister used a cab from OKW last month to go to that exact Walmart - Cost $40 round-trip.

There is a Wal Mart that is just under 2 miles.
Leaving hotel plaza, turn right on 535, cross under I 4 and pass over 536. The WalMart will be on the right side at the corner of 535 and Polynesian.

There is another on Palm Parkway.
Turn left on 535 from Hotel Plaza, get into the right hand lane as Palm Parkway will be the first street (Olive Garden on this corner)
Turn right on Palm Parkway and drive about 2 miles and the Super Walmart will be on your left.

The SuperWalmart on 192 is crazy busy with way too much traffic. The first two are much faster and easier to get to.
