DTD to Boardwalk

Can we park our car at DTD and take a boat ride to the boardwalk area, eat and shop and then take the boat back later that night. I can't remember for years past if this is possible. I know that you can take a boat from DTD to POR. I for some reason remember taking a boat to the boardwalk area and getting off to eat at beaches and cream.

The boats from the Boardwalk only go from the Boardwalk area resorts to Epcot and MGM. There is no water way to DTD.

You must have been at EPCOT and remember taking the boat from the International Gateway to the Boardwalk. As wahoomedic already posted, there isn't a boat from DTD to the Boardwalk.

If you want to go to the Boardwalk from DTD using Disney transportation, you'll have to take the bus.

I have a better idea. Park at dtd and walk over to SSR, and wander around the grounds looking lost and then use their buses to go anywhere else you want in the world. I am just kidding, this is obviously a reference to the thread where the ssr folks got a little territorial about "their?" busstop.

Actually what burns me about this IDEA is that there will NOT be ANY parking at DTD!!! That is why Disney discontinued the direct buses to the parks. I don't want to drive around looking for a spot while folks are at the MK!
