DTD Shuttle

How reliable are the DTD hotel shuttles? Are they often so full that you have to wait on another one (particularly first thing in the morning)? We plan to stay at the Doubletree Suites in DTD next year (off-season), and were wondering about using the transportation to and from the theme parks.

I've stayed at two different DTD hotels. The Royal Plaza and The Sun Resort (when it was the Grosvenor). Both times the shuttles were very relaiable. They came about every 30 minutes. I never had a problem with it being crowded but both times I went in October. The only disadvantage of theses shuttles is that the walk to their depot within the parks bus lot is far and in some cases there is no sidewalk to wait at as the bus strip is in the middle of the lot.

We are actually staying at the DTS in 2 weeks and plan on using the bus transportation. So we'll let you know how convenient and reliable it is for us when we return.

when I stayed at LBVBW - lots of time it was me and another person.

the resort had guests - several guests. some people drove their cars - others just didn't go to WDW.

that say don't think youwill have the problem at DT. It seems to stay busier.

my other problem - MK & AK share a bus - so to get back to the hotel if you are at MK you must go to AK before you can return to the hotel.

Now if you go back after AK is closed - not a problem. but before then - it is a long, long drive.

We'll be traveling with a 4 year old, and still carting around a stroller so we'll see how reliable the bus transportation is. I've heard great things so far about Doubletree Suites, so we'll let you know.
