This is going to be our first trip to DTD and am planning on doing supper there 1 night. There are 3 adults and 1 child (4yr old boy). What do you suggest? What would the little boy like best?

Thanks,
Becky

T-Rex would be great if he likes dinosaurs. It is loud but we (adults) love it.

TRex if he likes dino's and Rainforest if he likes zoo type animals or is spooked by dino's. Rainforest can be loud to and a bit scary for little ones, but not many have a big problem there.

Those are really the best Table service when you are talking about themeing for a child....the other DTD restaurants would be more traditional dining experiences. Wolfgang puck express is consistently good in reviews......

You can pretty much find Rainforest cafe ANYWHERE in north america. Its nothing unique. thats why i would suggest TRex. LOVE the theme, and the food is good! I think your boy will love it. we sat in the ice room....the meteor showers are so cool! check out the videos on youtube. :)

Thanks Everyone! You are right about Rainforest being other places and I've done it a few times. TRex sounds like the place to go.

T-Rex is so much fun and yummy! My husband and I love it - and also, the little girls I nanny for (ages 7 & 12) love it too! And for dessert you cannot go wrong at Ghiradelli! Yum! Have fun!!:)

My Mother, Brother, daughter and I dined at Paradisio 37 a couple weeks ago and loved it. LOVED IT! It was our favorite meal at Disney, ever. EVER. The kids menu is full of familiar yet artfully designed food, like a triple stack of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and the adult menu is amazing. We ordered three appetizers and the portions were so big we didn't have room for entrees. Try the Crazy Corn, it's positively amazing. The menu is different from any other place on property, but it's not too "out there", if you have picky eaters there are burgers and things on the menu as well. Everything about it was outstanding. Wait for an outside table and make a reservation for close to sunset, it's totally worth it!

Another vote for T-Rex and if you are going sometime in 2011 there are coupons for $.99 kids meals from Rainforest Cafe that you can use at T-Rex. I read about them on another thread and used them on my trip in April. I am sure that you can either gogle for the coupons or do a search here to find the thread.

I will add to the pile with another vote for T-rex...you'll have a great time..

If you are looking for some place that is on the dining plan, Raglan Road is really good. We just got back and it was one of the best meals of our trip. The kids choices were great and were above average quality as far as kids meals go. My girls got the battered shrimp and mini corn dogs, which were actually their bangers (sausage) battered.

We loved T-Rex, but my 6 year old son was scared of the "asteroid hit" and cried whenever that happened. But if your son has gone to Rainforest and been okay then he'll love T-Rex (mine does not like the storm in Rainforest either) Great atmosphere and the dig site is fun too :)

That's funny, I live in Atlanta and there are NO Rainforest Cafes in Georgia. I'd never seen one til I ate there in Disney. I just looked it up and they are only in 13 states.

OP, I think T-Rex would be a good choice if you've already tried RC. For adults, Raglan Road is awesome, but since you specifically mentioned the 4yo, T-Rex sounds like a plan!

My son is 4 and is still a little scared of TRex.

We love House of Blues. We ate there twice last week and the food is great. You can also get great deals on gift certificates from restaurant.com. We got a $50 gift certificate for $4.

You might want to try Wolfgang Puck Express at the Marketplace. They have several kinds of pizza which is probably what they're best known for, but they also serve huge and delicious salads, pastas and sandwiches. The prices aren't bad either, especially when you consider the amount of food you get. Splitting entrees is a good option. It's not a fancy place and it doesn't have a "fun" element, but we enjoy it a lot and usually end up there once or twice each visit to WDW. We used to eat at Rainforest Cafe more often when the kids were younger because of the atmosphere, but the prices got a bit high and the food was becoming so-so -- or maybe we were just getting old and jaded. Anyway, take a look at http://allears.net and you can go through the menus for just about every restaurant.

A lot of people love T-rex, we have never been before but would love to try it . We really enjoy WPE, they have really yummy food...
