DTD Parking

Does anyone know the best way to get to the DTD parking lot from the 5 N? I always feel like I'm going in circles as I make my way over and I thought maybe someone out there had perfected a good route to take. It's always a bit confusing (at least to me when I haven't been in awhile) with all the signs pointing you in different directions. I can't remember the exit I took last time (maybe disney way?) and i went around to the left and under the DTD bridge. Any tips or suggestions would be welcolme.

If you follow the signs to the Mickey & Friends parking structure, you'll be fine. Once you are on the access road for the parking structure, turn left into the DTD parking area (the Mickey & Friends structure will be on your right at this point.

I guess I was just wondering if anyone had a certain exit off the 5 N that they thought was better for getting to this parking lot. I think I actually took Katella which is probably the best one but I didn't know if there was some "secret" way to get there.

Katella would be the best. That way you only have a total of 3 turns. The right onto Disneyland Drive, The left onto Magic Way, and the left into the DTD parking area (the turn immediately before the DLH entrance).

Secret entrance? You mean you missed that big giant tunnel with flashing lights that goes from the freeway, under the city, and comes back up right inside the parking garage????

No! I guess I must have missed it! I'm not sure I would have been let in anyway because I don't know the secret password.

It's free for the first 2 (?) hours. (I'm blanking on weather or not it's free the first 2 or first 3 hours. I'm sure someone else can verify the right one) And then if you eat in a DTD restaurant or go to the movies you can get your parking stamped so you get total of 5 hours free parking.

Oh and no, it's not the same parking lot as for the parks. It's a separate lot - not a parking structure.

3 hours free. After that, it's exactly as LavenderPeach stated above.

Extra time is $6 / hour, based on 20 minute periods.

Yes, it so nice to have 3 hours free, which is plenty of time to see everything (at least i think so).

And just an update, I went to DTD again today and even though there was no "secret" way to get to the parking lot it was much easier to find it now that I already went once recently. The last time we had APs was 6 years ago so I had to re-learn how to find my way there. Not that I got lost the first time but I was just unsure if i was making the right turns.
