I just read on another site that the DTD Lego Store is closing. My DS loved it there last year. If it's gone, there really isn't anything for kids to do Downtown.
Say it ain't so!
I just googled a lot and I can't find anything. That wouldn't make any sense, they have so many people coming to DTD just for that store and the big sculpture in the water.
I didn't know that legoland is coming to Florida that soon. That will be pretty sweet, but that is going to be a lot of competition for the DTD lego store. I hope they don't close it because I really enjoy looking at all the lego figures.
Legoland is coming to FL but it is far enough away from Orlando that I don't see why they would close the DTD store. Besides, they must make alot of money at that store. As PP's said it is always packed and long lines to check out.
I don't see the lego store closing because of legoland. There is legoland in CA and also a store at DTD there. They are probably an hour further apart then Cypress Gardens is in relation to WDW but I can't see how the store itself would be competition.
There is no plans to close the store in DD...The Legoland coming to Cypress Gardens will be open by end of 2012...and they said they have no plans to close that local...Plus if they planned to close, they wouldn't be working to cleanup and work on the displays outside...which is going on now..
