DTD Hotels opinions?

We will be down there in Aug 2011,driving from NJ we have a doctor appt in Jacksonville our 1st day in Fla so wont get to Orlando til 3p or later ,we are staying at WL that week but dont want to waste $350 on that 1st night at WL when we will miss most of the day so looking for opinions in the DTD area for just that night since we like to spend our 1st night at DTD anyway and we can check in at WL bright and early the next day.I will be traveling with 7&10 yr old.

looked them all up but still couldn't get a feel for them on Tripadvisor so was wondering if anyone here has stayed at any of the hotels listed on the DTD site and had an opinion about them

We stayed at Hotel Royal Plaza at DTD a few years ago and it was really nice. I would stay there again.

Thanks, their prices were really good and the pics of the rooms looked nice ,on tripadvisor there were 85 that gave an excellent rating and 47 that gave it terrible ,those were the closest numbers out of all those DTD hotels as far as love vs hate so I was worried.
