DTD hotel recommendations for high school sports team

Looking at hotel options for high school team competing at WWOS this fall. Need to be within easy/safe walking distance to DTD. In addition to the Hilton, what other properties would you recommend based primarily on location, safety of area, and general upkeep of the facility? I'm not particularly familiar with the DTD area, especially which roads are easy to cross

Many rent large pool homes.

You can have all the children together and the adults are with all of the children always instead of breaking up in different rooms. There is a lot more common area for all.

I like the pool home suggestion but we're flying in so transportation is a consideration. We're talking 30 kids so unfortunately it would take more than a couple cars (and parents) to do shuttle duty. With gas prices what they are, I'm afraid of what charter companies i.e. Mears el al would charge. Will add to the list for investigation
