DTD hotel and Illuminations

I am planning to book a room for one night in the DTD area (our arrival day/Sat) - we stay on site starting on a Sunday. I've looked at several and seem to get the best prices with Best Western and Royal Plaza. Does anyone have any experience with either AND does anyone know if you can see Illuminations from the "resort view" room at Best Western?

In 2010 we had a Disney view room at Best Western DTD and we watched illuminations from the balcony with a bottle of wine!

It's been a few years, but when we lived in Tampa we used to stay at the Best Western quite a bit on the weekends and the view of DTD/fireworks is pretty great.
