This is all so crazy! I hope everyone is okay. My question is this. Since Downtown Disney is still open , are there people just showing up and hanging out? Dining? Shopping? Just curious. Also. Remember to check in on your neighbors.(safely) Stay safe everyone! Disney magic to you all!

I saw people posting about shopping at world of Disney. The structure is I guess closed but the DTD lot is open

The hours for DTD are supposed to change starting this Monday (so check the hours if you plan on visiting!). And the DTD parking lot is supposed to be free until the end of the month! :)
If anyone does check things out, please post about it here! TIA.
DTD is currently going to be open 10am-10pm daily during the park closures starting on Monday.

Is there official word on the free parking? I was planning to shop near Gardenwalk to support Darabeauty and Jimboy Tacos. I could do the same for DTD on another trip.

Everything is changing so quickly now -- keep checking the official Disney websites/twitter/Parks Blog/etc. for updates, everyone! Don't make any assumptions -- always double check before making any plans! And please report back on this board if you find out anything new that hasn't already been reported!

Noticed this on Sbux's website:

"Temporary closures for company-owned stores in high-social gathering locations, such as malls and university campuses"

Wonder if they'll close DTD Sbux.

I have a feeling that more and more of the non-Disney shops and restaurants in DTD will begin closing as I'm sure the crowds will be dwindling. We're going to be in the area and were thinking of going, but now that WoD is closed I'm just not interested in going.

Exactly. Places that depend on the walk-by traffic will likely close since traffic will be less. Places that people may come to DTD just to go to that place may stay open and I'm thinking things like the movie theater (but those have their own pressure to close)
