DTD check in & non driver

Last minute question, we hope to use the DTD check in but are non drivers staying at the All stars. Has anyone used the disney buses with suitcases from hotel to DTD?, do you have to check hand luggage in or can we leave them at the hotel as in previous times. The other option is a taxi but would prefer disney transport ( prolong the fun). Another thought, should we book mears for days visits to universal before we go or whilst there? thanks for your help in advance.

I suppose in theory you use Disney transport but I haven't actually ever seen anyone do it. You can leave your hand luggage at the hotel but I wouldn't advise leaving your documents .

Why not get a taxi from the All Stars to Downtown Disney to check in. Once you have got rid of your cases you can then use the Disney transportation to go to a park for the day. If you have hand luggage you can stuff it in the park lockers.

When it's time to go to the airport, return to where ever your airport transfer is due to pick you up (All Stars or DTD?).
