DTD boat service change

Boats from OKW & SSR to DTD will now dock at the West Side, near Cirque & HOB. They had been docking at PI.

Boats from PO will continue to dock at the MktPlace.

Separate complimentary water taxi service runs amongst the 3 docks.

Well then, that's not so wonderful. Those staying at SSR are going to be spending a fair amount of time on the boat to DTD now. It was bad enough before but now? Yikes. Looks like the bus or walking is going to be the fastest method...probably walking.

Not caring for this change either. If we stay at OKW and want to go to DTD (not west side) we will need to take two boats to do that now. Not that we mind a leisurely boat ride, but two? Plus waiting in-between? That's going to be a long trip.

Yes, I know we could just walk over to DTD from the west side. Yes, I know we could do some shopping in the west side. But our prime target for going to DTD is the original section, not the abandoned PI section or the still un-interesting west side section.

The dock itself is just a bit closer to SSR, but if you meant walking to MktPlace from the dock ... yes, add about 5 minutes.

The entire length of DTD is only about 3/4 mi.

EDIT: I get it; you meant taking the water taxi rather than walking.

Possibly, but it hasn't been announced as such.

The West Side dock just completed refurbishment to handle multiple routes.

Things could be completely different when Disney Springs is complete.
