DS's NHS Induction ceremony tonight - **UPDATE PAGE 2**

Hope your DS is feeling better.

**BTW, about 8 times of out 10, the rapid strep test is negative for me.

My doctor always then cultures it overnight because then it comes up positive 24 hours laster. One time, they called me after 48 hours to tell me that it was positive. The nurse told me that almost never happens!!

Terry that sounds absolutely perfect:goodvibes ..You must be so proud..Sorry to hear he is down and out again, but perhaps tomorrow will be a better day..You brought tears to my eyes, in a good fashion..

Hope you all rest well tonight..

Congratulations:hug:

Terry--that sounds like an AWESOME night. And I have to say, I LOVE that your ex made the drive up, and that you were all able to have a great surprise, and a nice evening. That speaks so much to you, your DH, your ex, and his DW. I love seeing that.

Now, could you please wish 'No Snow or Rain' wishes for me for Thursday??? ;)

Thanks once again for the replies, everyone :) I did get tears in my eyes a few times during the ceremony last night. I could hear Mushu from "Mulan" saying "My baby's growing up!"

Thanks Deb, for the comments regarding DH, ex-DH, his DW, and myself. If you noticed, I call my ex-husband my "ex-DH". I keep the "D" in there for a reason. He really is a great guy, and his DW treats my son so wonderfully. She has no children of her own (and never will), so my DS is basically her only child. She really loves and spoils him. My DS is very fortunate to have 4 loving, committed parents in his life. I've told ex-DH's DW this, too, because I think it's important that she knows that she's just as much a part of Robby's life as the rest of us, and how much I appreciate what she does for him.

Last night during one portion of the ceremony, they asked for the parents to stand up and be recognised as being an integral part of the students' success.... I looked over towards ex-DH's DW and she was still sitting and looking unsure as to whether she should stand or not, so she looked my way and I emphatically motioned for her to stand up with us and be recognised. :)

Anyway, I'm rambling on here.... LOL

This morning DS and I will be meeting ex-DH and his DW for breakfast (assuming DS is feeling well enough to go to the restaurant around the corner this morning), then they'll head back to NJ. :)

Oh and Deb.... I'm already wishing that we don't get any snow or rain on Thursday! I hope you and your DS have a lot of fun at the game!!! :sunny:

Glad to hear your son made it to the ceremony. At my kids' HS the NHS induction ceremony is very low key. Dangerboy was inducted a couple weeks ago, and the principal never even showed up! Sounds like his was a very nice ceremony :)
