Here is the cake I made for DS's graduation party that we are having today. I think it turned out sooooo cute!

I wanted to show photos of him from kindegarten through his senior year at the party. Since we are having it at a park, a slide show just wasn't going to work so I created some posters. DH is going to hang them in between some trees with a rope at the bottom and at the top so that they will stay put and not swing around. The posters are super simple and I didn't use any scrapbooking embellishments or anything as I wanted more photos.

Here's what I made:

This one is of the main shows that he's performed in during the past 2 years:

This is the poster showing a photo of DS at WDW for every year since his first trip when he was almost 2 years old.

Stephanie LOVE the cake!! great job!

how cute he was as a little guy!! what a wonderful way to share his life with everyone today!
hope you get to the disney photos too!

Have a wonderful day today!!

Love it!!!

I was telling PJ about the poster boards.. she asked for me to do one... then she wanted to know what kind of cake we could do Disney themed... DH said Disney themed.. she said yup, I want to celebrate Disney style!

Also, hoping they do the same thing this year at the school..they live streamed graduation on the net...thought maybe you all would like to see PJ graduate with me!!!

Stephanie those are fantastic!!!!

I love, love, love the cake :) It looks like a professional baker made it  I couldn't decorate a cake if my life depended on it :upsidedow

Thanks everyone. I added the Disney poster to the 1st post. I loved looking at the pictures when I was making it and seeing how he's changed through the years.

Nan, if you want to borrow my Mickey pan, let me know and I'll send it to you. It's actually a true Disney pan. I bought it at WDW years ago.

That is fantastic! Our kids don't get a graduation til they leave college (21+):sad2: Nothing special happens for GCSE and A-levels:headache: I love looking back at how the kids grow - makes me cry too!

I would love to see your girl graduate!!!

I'll give you all the info if they do it again... It was nice because the kids who had moved were able to see their friends here graduate.. one girl watched it while waiting for her graduation to start! LOL

love seeing Andrew grow up at Disney....going to have to remember this for when Megan graduates HS!!

You did an awesome job on the cake. He turned out to be such a handsome well sounded boy. You must be incrediably proud. Great job, MOM!!

Stephanie, I used to chat with you when I first moved to Tally! I happened to look at your post, and looked at the pictures of your son. The first thing that caught my eye was the shows he was in...I recognized them as Lincoln's Productions! I know this because my son, who is graduating from Chiles today, was also involved in Chiles Productions..(Guys & Dolls- Nathan Detroit).
How funny that after all this time I would come across your post on Graduation Day!!! and we are planning on heading to Disney, but we're going at the end of June!! Congratulations!!!:yay:

Hey Cynthia! How funny that both our boys are graduating and both are actors!! I'm sure my DS knows your DS, he knows alot of the Chiles kids.

Congrats to your DS on graduation tonight. Lincoln's graduation is tomorrow night. We are excited. But, we're also really excited about going to WDW in a few days!!!!! I'm glad that you guys will be going too, but too bad they aren't at the same time!

As I told my Andrew about your post, he made me look it up and yes, they do know each other!!! I guess "it's a small world" afterall :rotfl: Couldn't resist! Counting the days until our trip!!!
