DSLR at Universal and Islands of Adventure?

Has anyone taken their DSLR to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure?

It's been several years since I've been to either park, but I seem to recall some rides that you couldn't take any type of bag on. At that time, there were free (or cheap) lockers that you could use for an hour or so at a time, while riding.

I definitely enjoy riding, and I don't want to have to skip anything because of carrying my DSLR. Should I consider taking my P&S on those days instead?

i have... hulk, mib, dueling dragons and mummy don't allow it. not a huge deal. i also was told to put it away prior to the drop at ripsaw falls. it's been on pretty much every other ride there.
