For those in the know I just got back from a birthday party and the birthday boy got a dsi xl. He couldn't wait to open it...inside the box were 2 stylus. One inserted. In the dsi and another one sitting in the box (a bigger one).... Why is there 2 of them.. No one knew @ the party as the rest of the kids were under 5.

Actually I think there were probably three. I know there were three in my box.

The larger stylus is more comfortable, like holding a pen. People tend to hold controllers and a stylus much more tightly than necessary when playing a video game and the DSiXL is marketed towards adults who would likely be more comfortable holding an "ink pen" sized stylus than a tiny DS stylus.

Nintendo has been selling a larger stylus since they sold the original DS. Now they just put one in the box too. I bought my first one separately, but now I use the DSiXL larger stylus most of the time.

My DH was mildly disappointed that the pen-like stylus' clip is fake. He couldn't actually clip it into his pocket.

We bought the DSiXL for our daughter who has a vision impairment. She loves it. I realize it would be tricky to advertise for that though
