DS7 ~ Incredible Hulk Costume - Need some help?

DS7 is being the Incredible hulk for Halloween. I got a green shirt for his top - he's wearing his football pads (shoulder and hip/legs) under his clothes to "bulk up" and now I need to figure out what to get for his pants ~ whatever I get/use I will be shredding with a razor or scissor so I don't wanna spend alot for something I'm destroying but I also hate buying the itchy premade costumes. I like the ones I've put together better and I think there more original if you KWIM. If you look at pictures of the hulk or the premade costumes his pants are bright purple but I never remember him wearing purple pants on the show when we watched growing up. Should I try to find a deeper purple, go with his olivy green pants he already has, a navy blue he's already got??? What would you get/do?

I would just use the pants you have...sounds like you don't mind ripping them up? Otherwise, I would pick up something cheap at a Goodwill - color would be a secondary factor, cost being the number 1 factor.

my 10ds wants to be this for halloween he made his own costume. he shreaded up an ole pair of jeans and made some rips in a white button shirt and we are gonna buy him some green paint and hair spray.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking I would end up shredding something he's already got but I like the goodwill/salvation army store idea too so I may look for something in a larger size that might fit more comfortably.

So far we have:
green shirt I'm going to tatter
the hulk hands that make action noises
black hair spray (he's a blond but the length is perfect!)
green hair spray (I want to add it on top of the black to tint it a little)
green face makeup (I have an aversion to masks if I can make it work w/o one)
His football gear - using his shoulder pads and his all in one padded pants - thigh, shin, butt pads to bulk him up too look more authentic.

Need the pants - or find a pair he has that will fit comfortably over the football pants to shred

And he'll wear his regular sneakers (I do not buy shoes as a part of any costume. I shoot for comfort seeing as how they are zipping around trying to get more & more candy)
