DS3 cut his hair, ok, butchered it right before holiday photos. HELP!

Take the photo with his hair the way he cut it!!! When I was 5, my girlfriend cut my bangs the day of a family photo --- my mother took the pic without fixing my hair and it has made for decades of laughs!! Makes great memories!

I just wanted to add that when I was 4, I cut my brother's hair and my own. I cut a huge gap out of my bangs right before I was supposed to be a flower girl. princess: I cut them all the way up to my skin. DB was about two and stood real still for me. What a sweetie. Mom still gets riled up talking about it, lol. :rotfl:

He only noticed the problem when he went to give them baths and found the sink full of hair. (Very observant DH didn't notice during dinner that DD was practically bald).

:rotfl:
Goodness - that made me laugh! My DH is an absent-minded scientist and would probably not notice either. Gotta love 'em!

My neice (4) just did this as well. She cut it right to the scalp. My sister will put dresses on her all the time now-very frilly ones, because everyone mistakes her for a boy. She just had her class pictures done-the poor child! :rotfl:

Hi everyone. Thanks for the great tips and funny stories! I lost my internet on wed afternoon and jsut got it back, TG. I didn't realize how addicted I am! I took everyone's advice! I got pix, although as 3 years old often are, he failed to cooperate fully! Maybe he was self conscious! Then I buzzed him incredibly short, you can still see some of the bald spots where he went to the scalp, but it definitely looks better. I left some longer in the front, and use goop to slick it. He looks adorable with it short! Probably won't need a hat for him, but might do elf and santa hats as folks suggested anyway. I still haven't figured how to upload pix here, so won't post a pic today. Maybe another time. He was so cute yesterday. He had the scissors again, (how he gets them w/o me noticing I just don't know!!!!) but he said form the other room, "Hey mom, look, I'm not cutting my hair!" and he wasn't but just paper, as his sibs like to do. He's a cutie. Thanks again, you all have helped me out of a few pinches since I joined, I really appreciate this forum!

I know this will be no help now, but, my brother cut his hair right before having school pictures done in first or second grade. For his 40th birthday, I ordered one of the personalized Kideo birthday videos with Barney using that picture. We showed it at the surprise birthday party we had when I went down to Florida for a visit. Everybody loved it, even my brother.

The photographer that we use can digitally correct/enhance his photos. A child had knocked out his tooth and they digitally added it in the photo. It was great and you cannot not tell that it was added. They also have added/corrected hair. I don't know if yours has that option or not. I hope everything comes out alright.

Somefolks today at our inside playground were looking at him really strangely, and then at me --they must have thought something was really wrong with his mother! Don't we all know a hack job by a toddler/preschooler when we see one?!!!

It just happened in our house 2 weeks ago. I told the girls NOT to touch the table. I DIDN'T say DON'T touch the scissors :rotfl:

You guessed it! :cheer2: The older one cut the younger one's hair ... mind you it happened within 4 minutes. Good thing her hair grows back longer now.

Try telling DH what happened while he was traveling. The look on his face was priceless when he got out of the cab! :rotfl2:

I can laugh about it now. I was in tears when it happened.

The older one WILL be hearing about this for a L O O N G time!!!!!!!!

Eldest one will be 6 in Jan. 06 and youngest will be 4 in March.

A santa hat is a great idea....

Spikes are VERY cute (my ds3 wears them, and it looks good and fits his crazy personality)

BUT...

I vote for taking the picture AS IS!!! My boyfriend did the same thing when he was younger, and the sadness you are experiencing now is WAY worth the memories later....Not only will you get a laugh out of it, you'll remember your little guy with the locks of hair sitting in his lap...It would be worth it to me!!

I remember when DD did this..after much crying and trying to figure out how in the world we were going to get this fixed I asked her why would she do this to herself and her sister...her response..."I got tired so I had to do it quick" By quick I am assuming she meant in big chunks. She graduates this year and I am still contemplating putting that picture on her graduation cake or yearbook. Funny thing about the picture is she is missing hair in the middle of her forehead and her 3 front teeth! Believe me, you will laugh about it later..alot!

I agree! It's not a sore subject. If this was the worst of my worries, I'd be thrilled. I just can't decide what to do, and am thinking I agree with posters to get rid of the hair, but I will definitely get some good "head shots" for the record. I can kind of comb some of the hair over it and plaster it with hair goop. You know kind of like the older men with no hair on top do! (Sorry for any Robin Hoods out there! :rotfl: )
Oh, that's a lot better--a 2 year old with a comb over! Wouldn't want to be embarrassed with a crew cut! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
