DS12 received jury duty notice today!

I know that these things are randomly selected by a computer but come on this is ridiculous. The age has to be factored into the programming.

Ironic... I got my very first Jury Duty Summons, yesterday!

Doesn't it work off of voting registration?? How would his name be in the database in the first place?

I think our state works off voter registration and the driver's liscense databases. A 12 year old shouldn't be in either one.

On the back of the form it states that you are chosen randomly by driver's lic., gross income tax filed, and homestead rebate application. The only thing that I can think of is that in 2001 he received money from my sister who passed and I think he had to file taxes that year.

In NJ you have to fill out the form and return it. One of the questions is are you 18yrs or older. The answer NO was in the disqualifying box so I don't have to call them and he doesn't have to report (unless I hear from them )

Take him, and also inform the local paper...he may get a write-up as an amusing story

Yes, her should definitely report. You wouldn't want them to come and arrest him for failing to report.
