I had poster earlier that he wanted to do safety patrol in 5th grade, but was hesitating telling his teacher. Well, he said to her today, "Ms. C, do you know who you are going to suggest for Safety Patrol?" (I thought she only nominated kids, she doesn't, she picks the kids who will actually do it), she told him he was one of the ones she is making safety patrol. YIPPEE!! 
Also, he found out he won 1st place, out of the entire 4th grade classes, on his Science Fair Project. I was so surprised. We worked a long time on it, but I didn't think it stood a chance. We were really stressing over it, too, while doing it. It was judged by two 4th grade teachers (gave him a 11 and a 12 out of 16) and a Science Professor from the local college, she gave him a perfect 16. So with all his scores combined he won 1st place.
So, soon, I am taking him out to dinner to celebrate!!
