I could have sworn that busses ran from Disney Springs to the parks after a certain time. Like starting late afternoon or early evening. Is this right?

No, it’s the other way around. Busses run FROM the parks to DS after 4pm, but there are no busses from DS to the parks. The way I keep this straight in my head is that if there were busses from DS to the parks, you’d have people parking at DS to avoid paying for parking at the parks - and Disney isn’t going to have that!
