DS scored his first goal!

DS (6) scored his first real goal this weekend at soccer, he was so excited, he was beaming all day. He couldn't wait to make the long drive home so he could call his grandpa and tell him all about. Sure wish I had a camera with me because it was such a special moment for him.

How exciting!!!! My 5YO is playing in an instructional league, and technically they 'don't keep score' but even 5YO's can count.

Yesterday was the first game they were not shut out, and the kids were so excited!!! All of them and their coach. THey are so funny at this age.

I love watching the young kids play "squall ball" it is so funny.
Funpetition instead of competition leagues can just be the best!

YOU are the one who calls it sqallball. I said that to one of the other parents at the game yesterday, and they thought it was so funny and apropos. I knew I heard it on the DIS, but could not remember. My boss likens it to Seagulls on a clamcake.

Yay! Good for him. I love when kids are proud of themselves.

My son was also 6 when he got his first goal. He was so excited that he didn't celebrate with his team--he just ran over to mom and dad!!!
