I read on Dizpins that the DS will be having a buy one get one free pin sale starting Saturday. :bounce:
Can anyone confirm?

I called the DS in our area and they said it's true. I know where I'll be Saturday morning!

I stopped in the Omaha store tonight. The manager did not know anything about the sale.
But she said I know before she does. ;) She even asked me if any new store pins we coming out.
Any who -- DH will be on a road trip this weekend and I called the DS he will be near on Saturday. They still have THEIR MoM state pins. So guess *I have* to have him buy some extras. :bounce:

There's quite a few pins at my DS that I want to add to my collection and several my daughter wanted. I was planning on stopping tomorrow, do you think they would hold some tomorrow night for me to pick up on Saturday??

Kim,
Usually the Disney Stores will hold pins for you for 24 hours.
Have fun buying pins!

Pretty nice timing for the Disney Stores to be putting the pins on sale a couple of months before the Epcot event. They'll clear out some inventory and give people a chance to get some traders before they leave for WDW.

I was at my local DS last night and was told by a CM about the sale! She told me that it not being advertised, that is all by word of mouth!

I will be there first thing tomorrow morning!

What a great way to stock up on pins for my DS (10)! His 11th birthday is next week and we are leaving for WDW in November!!!

I worked Wednesday night and heard nothing about this, but I was opening shipment all night (nearly cut my thumb off).

I just got a message from a CM at my local TDS - there is definitely a 2 for 1 sale tomorrow :).

I called my local TDS last night to see what time they open this morning. The CM told me the time plus told me about the pin sale this morning. She knows we collect pins :).

So, just bumping this up, so no one misses the sale :)!

I went by DS last night on my way two work and confirmed the rumor. The manager even let me put pins on hold until tomorrow (since they weren't on sale...YET). I'm going today to pick them up. What a Deal!
WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!

Did they take the pins that were on sale previously off-sale before this sale? (Does that make sense?) In other words, they had pins at 75% off before. Are those same pins still 75% off **and* you can get another one for free, or did they move them back up to full price?

I won't make it to the Disney Store today, but have fun shopping for those of you who will!!

Don't know about the 75% off. Those sold out even here! ;)
I did ask about the lanyard kits this morning and those WERE NOT included I was told.
DH picked me up some more IA in the Quad Cities this morning. :bounce:
Aahhhhh.
I was the only one at the store this morning.
The CM's knew to watch for the memo because I told them. But they didn't know for certain about the sale until yesterday.
I told them not to feel bad. I'm often the last to know where I work too! :)
I asked about the upgrade for plushes and pin and the Monster DVD and she didn't know. :(

I don't think the gallery pins are included in today's sale, just the regular pins. You can also use your DS club discount with everything which helps too. I picked up lots of pins and my new boa today and was able to get the 2-1 deal as well as my 10% off. :) The manager wasn't sure if this 2-1 thing was just for today, though.

I got to look at some of the upcoming specials. There look to be some great ones coming out.. the manager didn't have any details yet (she didn't even have some of the stuff they were going to be promo-ing), but she said check back regularly.

In case you're interested, you can buy a Country Bear plush or back pack and get a free movie ticket today.

Just got back from my DS and bought a ton of pins. Actually 96 to be exact which includes 2 boxes of State pins. We too were called by our DS to let us know about the sale. We have 3 trips coming up and go through alot of pins. We were there for 10 days in June and my grandson went through 10 pins a day. We may go back for more. But since hubby is a CM that helps the price when I can buy a pin for much less than $2 each.

We were the only pin trading guests at the local TDS when it opened today. I bought a few pins - I had forgotten some were $4 pins! I used my DC discount, too. I let the SM know I appreciated one of her CMs letting me know yesterday about the sale today. She worked last night & they called other guests, too.

Thanks You Judith for letting me know about the pin sale. I bought tons too, and used my DVC discount because I forgot my Disney Club card.
But I also looked around the stores to see what else is new. I found the most adorable Snowglobe. the Mickey Mouse Club hat with all the different Mickeys on it. The two ears are globes and the little round logo on the hat lights up. It is a must have to this Mickey collector. Peggie

I went to my DS at the Mall of America and bought 12. I'm trying to get all the movie poster ones so I can make a framed set. Wish I had about a 100.00 dollars. that would help out a lot!

We went today and bought pins also. My daughter and I got mostly character pins. She also picked out one of the princess dolls (half price- $15.00) and the Minnie Mouse and Cinderella outfits for it. The outfits were $5.00 each. We also bought the mini lanyard with 4 mini pins (which will fit be perfect for the doll). The doll and outfits are for her birthday in November. We did get the mini lanyard at 50% off too--it was just $5.00. We've put alot of the pins in her pin trading back pack she got at WDW earlier this month and set several aside to trade next year. My husband can't believe I'm already talking about next year. Hey, if we win the lotto tonight it will be next week!!!!! Yeah Right.

Anyway, THANKS for the heads up on the pin sale! We made out like bandits.

The CM told me they haven't heard if they are discontinuing the pins in the stores or just clearing out for more. I hope they get MORE!
